 Jan: Mus-bnuts Open. 50 American Skeet. Any gun.
Its too cold this time of year to learn new things, so just go out and shoot 50 quick American skeet, and run back into the clubhouse, get some coffee, play cards, and get warm!

 Feb: Frozen Chosen Open. 50 16yd Singles Trap. Any gun.
Don’t waste time! See the bird and shoot it! Do it 50 times and get back in the clubhouse for some hot chocolate! Its basic ATA trap.

 Mar: Chilly Willie Open. 50 Doc Adams. Any gun.
Its rare for both skeet shooters and trap shooters to shoot a game where each must learn the others sport on the same field of play. Yet, playing Doc Adams, they do. Each expert combines their skills and talents and goes against the course.
Everyone shoots trap on the skeet stations. Secret? Ya gotta learn the leads, know what choke to use, and pick the right ammo. If you do your homework you’ll win. The others will just be puzzled and walk away dumbfounded, wishing they were you! All diehard hunters will enjoy this game. Its windy here this time of year, so be on top of your game.

April: Spring Fever Open. 50 Skeet (Pump, Lever, or SBS Only)
Apr signals the beginning of life. Birds begin to hatch, flowers bloom, & the official skeet season begins. Show us what you’re made of & come shoot 50 straight. Can’t do it with this type of gun? Odds are the rest cant either & you’ll win anyway. Pain is part of the game! Just leave your high-speed o&u race gun home. Bring out some more challenging guns & show us what you’re made of. Don’t own one? Ok, but if you bring your fancy o&u race gun, you get a 5-bird penalty at registration.

 May: 1st Cut Open. 50 Trap 27yd Handicap Only. Any gun.
This is traditional handicap trap. Everyone shoots 27 yds. Get way back there and show us your best long shots! Look at it this way, you don’t have to walk as far from the clubhouse!

 June: No Excuses Open. 50 Low Gun Doc Adams. Any gun.
Keep that gun below your belt line, folks. Can’t bring that gun up until you see that bird! Move that gun early, the shot is scored as a loss! Jittery guys need not apply! But come anyway. Maybe someone’s worse off than you are.

 July: 2nd Cut Open. 50 Low Gun Old Rule Skeet, Old American Made Guns Only. (Rusty, Worn Finish Brown Guns Encouraged.)
The theme of this match is America! The American game of skeet has changed a lot over the course of 80 years. Back in the 30’s through the 60’s it was played doubles last. To honor America in its early days, this match is played using the old rules. Step right up & give it your best shot. And to honor America’s uniqueness, its American guns only. And, Pre 70’s only as well! If you come with a Euro gun or a newer gun, it’s a 5-point penalty at registration.

 Aug: No Sweat Open. 50 16yd Cut Throat Trap. Miss and Out. (annie oakley)
So, you think you’re the best one on the field huh? We shall see! It’s hot. Its sweaty, concentration falters…and if you’re not careful, the guy next to you can take your shot and you’re done for! This is a fast game. The match doesn’t last long. You all keep shooting until you’re the only one standing in your squad. It may not take 50 rounds. If you like to gamble, you’ll like this game. If you’re good at long shots, odds are you’ll do well. Winner also gets a free try at the 50yd shot challenge afterwards.
Everyone takes 50 rounds to the line.
5 guys line up on a station at the 16yd line.
Everyone loads one and waits.
Point 1 shoots. If he hits it he’s safe. If he misses, point 2 can shoot and be safe if he hits it, forcing 1 out. If 2 holds his shot, 1 is out automatically.
If both 1 and 2 miss, 3 can shoot. If 3 hits it, both 1&2 are out that quick. If 3 misses, he’s out too!
Guns are opened and the squad rotates after every miss.
It is possible to not have a winner on a squad if everyone misses.
The Last standing with a hit on each squad, form up the elimination squad on the 27 yard line to determine a winner.
The match continues until a winner is determined, just like before.

 Sept: 3rd Cut Open. 50 Three House Doc Adams. (Poor Mans 5 Stand) Any gun.
Its dove season. Time to practice. This match is standard Doc Adams rules, except birds can be from a skeet house as well. No one gets the same birds. Bird hunters, you’ll enjoy this one!

 Oct: Harvest Open. 50 Skeet Doubles, Forward or Backward. Any Gun.
It’s traditional skeet doubles. Show us what you got! Or, if you choose to shoot them in backward order, and break both, you get an extra point towards your final score. It’s a good way to catch up if you’re behind! For shoot off’s, its follow the leader doubles. Whatever the first shooter does, the rest must do as well.

 Nov: The Guns Fault Open. 25/25 Same Gun Skeet and Trap. Fixed Choke.
This match is to encourage local farmers to use their meat guns at the range. No fancy fangled screw in choke guns folks. If you do use a screw in, it must stay in the gun. No polychokes! No changing! Declare your choke at registration. No time to change chokes when you’re hunting, right? Ya shoot what ya got!

 Dec: Antifreeze Open. 50 Doc Adams. All bore, 2 shots allowed.
Standard Doc Adams, except load two every time. If you miss, you can take another shot and have it still be counted as a hit. You need to have at least 4 boxes for the day, just in case you need them all. Don’t waste time. It’s cold out! Good news, the clubhouse is heated but the puller isn’t!
