Look at little things not made public... building an enormous earthen dam on a 2,000' thick tundra sponge. Forcing US companies out by allowing foreign companies in with far lower bonding requirements. It is just a really bad place to do a project like this.
The bad stuff started happening with Frank the Bank's move to have the state use rules for marine environments so they could honestly state there are no walrus haul-outs at Pebble... and did not have to mention moose and caribou...
