I believe Food Lion has reversed this decision since they received so much negative feedback from their customers.
The Food Lion in the news is in Havelock, NC. It's the home of USMC Cherry Point Air Station. The move about the flag offending someone was as stupid as pizzing on an electric fence. There's a Walmart in Havelock also so how many active and retired Marines will not shop at the FL? There was a restaurant in New Bern on US 70 that refused to allow a disabled vet bringing his support dog in. It went out of business PDQ.
