Cool piece of history
Be interesting to know the mindset of the maker: I.e., what states the big stars are for...
The article has some guesses but no one knows for sure. This wasn't made in a flag factory. It was probably made by some seamstress who likely had no experience with sizing things correctly.
I like the interlocking nature of the design.
A subtle statement "big and small, we are stronger together"....
