A bit long for a lever action, which will require bullet seating in a 30-30 with the gas check base below the neck. Not a problem, but some people don't like that.

The NOE version casts slightly bigger diameter @ 0.311", for likely better accuracy, as it will fill the throat.

I ended up with the NOE version of the RCBS 180. My brother ended up with the RCBS version. Mine shoots better than his. I chalk that up to the larger diameter of both the shank and the nose. They both cast at about 195 with my alloy.

I've not killed anything with them, but they shoot very well for me.
