Also, my condolences. I was just writing a friend who lost his 14yo black lab in April (from cancer) who isn't sure he feels like duck hunting this coming season without his four legged partner. As painful as it is to get back on that horse, I think it's worse to go without the companionship of a canine hunting partner than the pain of losing them is (when you are ready).
