Never heard of a 22 RF being shot out. Corrosion yes. Abrasion from using a steel brush yes. You sure its not leaded up? Get some lead remover and give it a good soaking and bronze brushing. My bet is the rifling will reappear.
Look for a stamped letter and number inside of a "football border" around the breach area. The letter is the date code and the number is the inspector. The Savage/Stevens date codes are in a post further down in this forum,
