I think over half of the Leupolds on Ebay are the Chinese knock off crap ones, some even being passed off as real ones for top dollar. I don't even look on Ebay for them anymore.
I can find you 20 legit scopes on eBay for every fake. A $99 VX-3 coming from a new seller in China is not real.
Last one I looked at was up to $300 bid, I called Leupold with the serial number and it was fake. All I'm saying it is, don't trust anyone, check the series number. I'm stopping now, because I don't want to keep hijacking the OP.
