The evidence has never mattered with the ruling class. The only time any of them are held accountable is if they are deemed a net political liability or if they can be made a sacrificial lamb to spare the Party or another more important political scumbag. This has nothing to do with justice and everything to do with Party risk management.
Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.
