I will be following this thread. A 7mm on a Tikka appeals to me, but living and only hunting in Alaska and always using my 30-06 or .338 Winny makes me wonder when I would use it. That and the fact that neither me or most of the hunters I know seldom shoot past 200 yards. Is the 7 SAUM better then the 7 WSM in a Tikka action? If I do it I am leaning towards a 25" stainless Krieger barrel with a tapered slender barrel, not interested in sustained fire, just a rifle that puts 3 shots in a small group.

I wonder what a 7mm PRC would look like compared to the 6.5 and .300 PRC.
