I really like my Chargemaster Lite and it has pretty much replaced my manual powder measure, especially for load development. I have found that if I let the unit warm up for 30 to 45 minutes before using it, I run into fewer “drift”issues. It does, however, have a problem with superfine ball powders like Hunter and Big Game. I get overcharges with those. It does great with 760 and the larger ball powders and the extruded powders though.

If you were going to throw a large number of the same weight charges, it’s faster to use a powder measure. If you’re going to work up a load, however, and change powder weight charges every 3, 5 or six rounds, then the automatic powder dispenser is much much faster. At least for me. The cut off point seems to be about 25 charges or so. For me, more than 25 of the same charge and it’s faster to use the volumetric measure. YMMV.
