I have a 99f, 1955. Great deer rifle. Had original knock off mounts, Weaver k5. Over time the scope sits cockeyed... not the bases, something in the rings, latching , etc. way off. Bent over time. Never did like arrangement. Threw bases and rings in garbage. Gun looks superb without, but alas, 74 year old eyes.
#1. Where do I get a 1 piece steel base, grooved for rings?
#2. Suggestion for scope upgrade, preferably 4x, small.....
