I would thoroughly clean the barrel. You want it clean and dry, no bore butter, oil, etc. period. I would switch to a different bullet first. If that didn’t solve the problem, I would go to BH209 and test. Some muzzleloaders will not shoot better than an 1&1/2” at 100. And yes, with 777, I would run a couple patches to remove as much of the crud ring as possible between shots. The only shot that matters is the first. I would try to get as close to that condition as possible with every shot.
