Personally, I agree with you. But many of these fine gentlemen are either 1) hunting in brush so thick a 6" barreled handgun gets hung up, 2) aren't manly men who can tote a 26" barrel around all day and then do 100 pushups, or 3) needing to cut a barrel off short and thread it for a 6"+ suppressor.
