Just a wild guess here, but just maybe he cleaned all the evidence up because he intended to escape the RV before the bang and then make as if he knew nothing about it if and when the RV was traced back to him. Except that when he flipped the timer... Cleaning up c hemical residue is not trivial. Almost impossible. The feds know what they are doing. Yes they do and getting the Truth to the American people, taint on their agenda.
