I bought a 357 late last summer. Haven’t shot it much yet (hunting season was starting)but it shoots Hornady 158gr XTPs very well at 75 yards. It shot a bunch of cheap 38 special ammo well to very good also. It showed a preference for plain ol lead 158 gr round nose in 38 special in my short time with it. It currently sits at Henry for the recall so I am hopeful that my trigger is better when it returns!

I bought mine for a fun/truck gun mainly because I have a lot of 38 special/357 ammo. I couldn’t find a blued rifle when I was looking so wound up with a brass receiver. I like it although it wouldn’t have been my preference if I could have found a blued rifle. However, I greatly dislike the straight stock. It just doesn’t feel as well to me as the pistol gripped models (seems way thicker in the wrist to me). I am probably going to change out the stocks when I get it back. Henry has them listed for sale on their website.
