"Tramontinas are nice for true “machete” work (vines, stalks, etc). For “heavier” use (cutting small branches/trees) the Ontario is the ticket (almost “light” hatchet work)."
I would agree with this completely. Might need to put a good edge on either of them, but they hold up well. You can pay a lot more for a machete and not get nearly as good a tool.
