The purpose of this to make him ineligible to run in 2024. After the thorough phugging a good majority of Americans are going to get by 4 years of a Dem controlled government a brash populist candidate like Trump would have a great chance of even overcoming their fraud to win.
They are not actually worried about his remaining days in office as they have already made Trump a true Lame Duck for the remaining days of his administration by using last weeks "events" to make even his "allies" in the government distance themselves from him. They now have little worry of him "settling any scores" before he leaves office as there are precious few left in positions of power or influence who would assist him in anything. Anything he might try would be immediately dismissed by the MSM etc as the acrions of a "deranged madman". I believe even Trump knows this and is why he has basically disappeared from the public eye the last few days.
