After reviewing what I have on hand, I think I'm going to put a Leupold 2-7x33 on the rifle.
It's my grandfather's Sav. 99 .243, and has an old Weaver K-4 with post and crosshair reticle on it now.
My older eyes just don't work well with old Weaver K-4's anymore...
