This picture is special. About 8 months before this picture was taken my father got a serious gangrene infection in his foot. Took him to the hospital and they did emergency surgery. Told him it was so far advanced he might die on the operating table. That was a Friday eve that we took him in. Doctor told us he probably wouldn't have lasted the weekend if we had waited. After multiple surgeries and loosing half his foot, dad is doing fairly well again. Working full time in a bike shop. There for a while we weren't sure dad could go fishing with us (this is an annual event) Anyway, this picture reminds how blessed we truly are.


......the occasional hunter wielding a hopelessly inaccurate rifle, living by the fantastical rule that this cartridge can deliver the goods, regardless of shot placement or rifle accuracy. The correct term for this is minute of ego.
