I'll tell you what is some nasty canned chili: that is H.E.B. store brand chili with beans. I like H.E.B. products, but dang, that chili is just nasty. Mixed it with rice, added chopped onion, jalapeno, hot sauce, and shredded cheese just to barely make it edible. I bought a couple cans of it to have on hand a couple of months ago as it was on the clearance shelf. That good deal was not so much. Now I know why they discontinued it. Sure makes you appreciate a good home made batch.
