USPS won't ship them. I was also surprised when the UPS shipping hub told me that they will no longer ship them. Not sure about FedEx.
I worked for USPS for 31 year and you won't believe the things that I saw that were sent through the mail. Some were much more dangerous than a primer or ammo.
