I could be on a plane to Cancun in the morning if I wanted to. If I was an elected representative and my state was experiencing a natural disaster across it’s entirety, I’d probably push that trip aside and let the people who got me elected know that I was doing everything I could to help. If for no reason other than it’s a really bad look. Which is all politicians care about anyways. And always will as long as the tax cattle line up around the block to pay them to fugg them over at every turn.
I agree completely. Same reason injured players are sitting on the bench when the team plays. Be there to offer support in any way possible.
