I just ordered one in .243 and plan to put a Leupold FX-ii 6x36 on it. Its the V.2 recent production with the recall/trigger improvements done at the factory.

For some reason the simplicity of a break-open single shot with a fixed power scope just appeals to me in this era of chassis rifles, AR's, turret twisting and such. Of course I enjoy all of those kind of rifles and shoot the heck out of em, but couldn't shake the jonesing I had for one of these basic beauties.

Hope to take a bunch of SC and Alabama whitetails with it over the next few years....

Would appreciate any feedback from any of you with the Henry single shot in .243 as to what factory ammo it shoots best. First up for me will be the 95 gr Fed Fusions....
