Actually it is different. The Creedmoor is an answer to a "geometry problem", namely how to keep the ogive/shank transition of long VLD bullets out of the case neck while having the cartridge fit in the standard 2.8" magazine. It is not about velocity gains attributed to seating a slender bullet out farther when really it's higher pressure making the numbers happen.
