The 6.5 PRC weighs a little more than the Creed. Mine weighs 8 pounds 12 ounces with a Meopro 4.5-14x50.

Not to hi-jack this thread, but I was wondering if Paul or Motown got a thread protector to replace the muzzle brake with their Mesa. I did with my Ridgeline, but didn't with my Mesa. Not sure I would use it after seeing how much difference the CA brake makes, even on the tame 6.5CM,but may someday if available. My 6.5CM Mesa with a 4.5-14x 50mm Leopold weighs exactly 8 pounds 4 ounces. Really nice weight and heft for the rifle in this caliber.

I had a gunsmith make me a thread protector that matched the barrel so well, you can't even tell it is there.

My Ridgeline came with a thread protector from the factory, my Mesa didn't have one in the box. I assume your Mesa didn't come from factory with one either Paul?

It did come from the factory with one.
