I've got one of the Blued barrels in 243.... it wasn't shot much when I got it.... the holes drilled at the factory to put scope bases on, was off center...

so who ever or how many owned it before me didn't shoot it much...

I sent it to Winchester, tell them it was drilled and tapped off center...

they sent it back, never acknowledging what I said... and sent a picture of a group that was on ragged hole and told me it shot great, they could find no issues with it..

that was a 6 month wait for nothing... put a set of Leupold bases and rings that squared away the issue....

of the 243s I have it will probably be the last 243 I ever even think of getting rid of....
