No. The 'crisis' was there before Biden, and Trump, and Obama, and Bush, and.... We could not see a crisis because we kept those seeking asylum out of the country. Because we did not see them does not mean they stopped existing. The problem will continue until we develop a rational plan for immigration that includes consideration of those seeking amnesty (which we probably have under treaty obligations) and differentiates them from economic immigrants. We need labor, in certain areas, and should allow immigration to meet national needs where labor shortages exist. Other countries (like Canada) already do this, which is why it is very hard to get a job in Canada unless you are a citizen or a landed immigrant.
