What is recommended ? This is been on my mind the last few years because finding brass is not easy for my rifle and soon to be retired so cost is a consideration.

I've only made 7x57 out of .30-'06 cases. I run them into a Redding form & trim die for 7x57, hack saw the necks off, deburr the mouths, then resize them in a 7x57 die and trim. I've had no neck thickness problems with this method. Unexpectedly, making 8x57 this was has required neck turning to get the neck thickness in spec.
