I do think it’s entirely possible that given the level of spying on the US citizens that people planning mass shootings get arrested beforehand at a higher ratio during a Republican presidency and are never heard about. During a Democrat presidency they deliberately let some of the craziest slip through the cracks to promote a gun control agenda.

We saw this on 9/11. FBI agents investigating plans to pilot a plane into a building were told by mysterious higher ups to look the other way.
