Can't you New England guys still shoot northern pike with rifles? I remember reading an article in F&S a bunch of years ago about shooting fish out there.
Same thing for me about being reported for breaking HOA rules at the Florida place. We have a few acre water retention pond out back and for some reason the tilapia swim into the shallows and stick their mouths out of the water. I always figured that it was lack of dissolved oxygen in the water, but the bass don't do it, so maybe not. Anyway, making alligator food with my pellet gun would be a lot of fun.
