IMO, they are an improvement over previous generations of any optical chronograph.

As Sakoluvr has pointed out, they are easier (and faster) to use. They are definitely less intrusive at the range. It is 2021. Any possible differences between expensive chronos and the Magnetospeed (or Pro Chrono) are negligible for virtually any shooter. For reloaders, the Magnetospeed is the latest generational improvement. They are also much cheaper than Labradar and Oehlers.

For reloaders who feel that they must own a chrono, they should be all over these.
