That "mostly peaceful" demonstration did cause a lot of trauma.
To people that have forgotten that we let them rule our country.
They needed that kick in the pants.
Unfortunately, it was received by week people, not strong ones.
People whose self worth is wrapped up in the power we allow them to hold.
Instead of reflecting on the job they are doing and the wishes of the voters,
operating on the American principal of keeping power by using it the way
your constituents desire, they are going the way of totalitarian regimes.
Using their power to crush the opposition.
