1907s are absolutely worthless on a hunting rifle. They were good in theory prior to the first world war for known forward threats prior to lightweight bipods and they are good for national match style competition shooting. Thats about it imho.
I have one in my hands as i type this...ive tried to adapt it to hunting applications. It won't work
