Black bears are moving west from Arkansas and
Louisiana into east Texas.
I'd imagine a grizzer bar can move around just as
well.
I've learned that just because the Parks and Wildlife
Dept says there's none of whatever in so-and-so place
doesn't necessarily mean it's gospel
There have been confirmed black bear sightings in OK as far west as I-35.
One was killed just north of Ada a couple years ago and last season they expanded the zone for black bear take.
The OK Dept of Wildlife killed one in a backyard in Norman this week!
I don't doubt that at all. A few of us used to go
bum around in the Ouachita and there abouts
most every weekend for a few years, and there's
things that most people don't ever see from the
trails and in their vehicles.
Can't hear anything in a big motorhome with
the generator clattering all day and night
