Fellas I have a Win 70 XTR (push feed) in 6.5x55 and I'm addressing the bolt, brass head, etc.
The only problem I've encountered is in 'some' brands the 6.5X55 brass 'needs' an RCBS # 2 shell holder for the press.
Can't recall now but 'some' brass will fit a # 3 but what I'm using now requires a # 2.
And yes, you're right Filaman that M 70 action is NOT limited to OLD pressure limits.
So far the only bullet I've pushed is the 120 NBT and 3000 fps gives me NO trouble.

Oh I know Jwall My Push Feed M-70 is chambered in .270 and I shoot a pretty healthy load of 130 grain bullet over 56.7 grains of IMR 4831 which scares the hell out of 3100 FPS in a 22" barrel.
I'm thinking of building a 6.5x55 on a Yugo 24/47 action. But yeah If I had a spare push feed M-70 action I wouldn't think twice about chambering it in 6.5x55.
