I would have to agree with you on those cars, especially 65 GTO and 67 Fairlane.
My Dad bought a new 1966 Impala SS396. It was a 4-speed car and was Marina blue. All options except power windows.

A friend of mine restores 67-72 Chevrolet pick-ups and he easily sells every one he does. He made about 8 grand on the first one, a 72. The others have been more.
Now people bring them for him to restore. I think he charges $45 an hour plus parts.

Oh yeah, I’d restore either an 67 Chevelle SS or a 64 Mercury Comet Cyclone.
