Hunted out of Ely for a later muzzleloader hunt with a good friend that had the tag. Had a fantastic hunt and found the deer on the TOP of the mountains until snow drove them down. We hiked several thousand feet up most days to hunt them until spike camping at 9500'. We also saw elk every day, including a very large bull. We went from 95 degrees down low and deer on top to severe hail and snow which my buddy wasn't dressed for. I had to give him my clothes or he would have gotten hypothermia for sure, he was close. Weather changed fast up at that elevation. He got his buck on the way down that day as the deer bombed off the mountaintops. Overall it was beautiful country and amazing hunting. I'm sorry I don't remember the hunt number for sure.
