32 C felt like 40. Not a soul out there. Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun. And me. smile

I wore blue jeans because of the mosquitoes. Wow, I don't know what is worse, the heat or the mosquitoes. I was trying out some 77 gr Lapuas. Groups weren't so great. You shoot what you shoot, but I didn't have a rag to wipe myself or the stock. It reminded me of shooting at Connaught and Borden when the humidity was so bad you could cut it with a knife. The rifle kept sliding. I tried a lighter cheek weld which helped.

Ths first picture is the skeet area in front of the club house. It's shaded and this is where most people sit when shooting or when shooting the breeze. No one was stupid enough to shoot in this except me. laugh The second pic shows a few groups, but they really aren't so hot - unlike the range!

I also tried some Lapua FMJs. They are the bottom pic. For the Canadians, the DR8208 sold by Canada Ammo is promising in a few cartridges. I have tried tried it in 223 and 6x45mm and it wants to shoot half inch groups. It will once I fiddle with the bullet depth. It does not burn like IMR 8208! You should not use the IMR data with this powder. I am going to work it up like H322. That's the vibe I get, but I did not have the chrono with me.
