Soap goes in (powder, liquid, pod, I don’t care, whatever she bought). Water turned on. Clothes go in. Cycle completes. Clothes go to dryer. Kids fold and put away. No special waiting period or decoder ring necessary. Colors. Whites. Towels. Silks. Wool. All the same. If it is so special it needs its own wash procedure, she better keep it out of the laundry room, because I don’t have time for 37 special steps.

Same goes for her “special” dishes and personalized cups. Better wash them after you use them, otherwise they’re going in the dishwasher. On heavy pot wash and high dry.
