You're too nice calling them socialists here. They're commies, and if you think I'm one of them, have at it. I've heard it all because of residing in MN, you get used to it. Aside from the DFL mafia, cold weather, hot weather, lack of rain, too much snow, lack of Elk and Moose seasons, one antlered deer per year limit, walleye slots, high taxes, somalians, george floyd, tim walz, not voting Republican since '72, and still seeing a Wellstone bumper sticker every now and then(I haven't seen one for a while), it's a great place to live!!!

Apologies to Steve4102, another MN guy, for derailing your thread.

That makes my home state of Michigan sound right wing by comparison. I’ve been to MN several times and have spent some time there. It’s a state with a lot to offer an outdoorsman. Outside of Saint Cloud itself that part of the state is about normal and redneck as most anyplace you’ll find.

That's why they keep going blue. I've read that countless times, but when a state with 40% black can continually go RED, you'd think a state with 90% white could as well. The fact of the matter is that all those red counties, are pink, at best.

There’s some truth there but blacks also vote at a lower percent than whites. The other thing that comes into play in a state like MI something like 70% of the population lives in a few countries in South East MI. Detroit and it’s suburban sprawl. The flip side is it leaves lots of open space for the rest of the state but it’s hard to overcome politically especially after you mix in the media and some outright political cheating.
