I carry the 200gr Underwood HC load. Usually carry it while grouse hunting in Northern Michigan. Seems a 28ga is marginal against black bears. One day while back at the truck while hunting grouse, enjoying a sandwich and a Mt Dew, hunting buddy asked about my sidearm. Why carry and auto, when a 357 or 44 revolver is gonna penetrate way more, yada yada yada. Was a good sized white pine near by. Center punched the tree. 10mm HC kept on going.
