I picked up a great condition 1963 Sako L579 Forester Deluxe in 308 for a great price. Found some deluxe original Sako rings from that era and I had a 4x Khales scope from the 60s that my dad bought, in the 60s. Put it all together along with some range pickup 308, mixed head stamp brass, used up some pulled Norma powder I've had in a jug for 5+ years, used some pulled primers too, mixed cci200 and 210s and then I put in some pulled 180gr win power points I had left over from breaking down some 300 win mag ammo a few years ago.

Two shots, where I want to be, first group under and inch. Shot a second, right at an inch. Icing on the cake? It shoots the 130gr ttsx load I have made up for my wife's 308 Weatherby, under an inch. And fired cases from both the Sako and Weatherby fit interchangeably in both rifles. I loaded up 60 rounds of the 130gr ttsx load and the Sako will go hunting this Fall, along with my wife's Weatherby.

Pretty happy!
