I am not comparing anything.
I just think that an Encore with a short carbon wrapped barrel would make a really good truck gun for those super quick shots at coyotes.
i tried a Encore one winter for coyotes ,here`s what i decided about a Encore slower to load than my Ruger #1 and my Ruger #1 is more accurate too. i now use a Ruger #1 custom Brux barrel 220 Swift with a 26 inch barrel i kill critters at 500 yards +.its my truck rifle with a Nightforce Scope , i wish you good luck and enjoy your Encore !
