Many years ago when I was living in an apartment complex there was a couple in my building with a camaro and a raised pickup that would park both of them diagonally across the 4 closest spaces to the entrance. So I started parking my slightly beat up S10 Blazer diagonally right up against wichever of their vehicles I could get next to. Usually left enough room to open a door, but barely. Took a couple of weeks as I recall, but the message got thru. They still parked across 4 spaces, but out in the back of the lot away from the entrance.
