My Son and I were lucky enough to make it to Newfoundland for a last minute moose hunt a couple weeks ago.
After not seeing much for moose, we decided to take anything on our last full day of hunting to at least bring some meat home.
About an hour into the morning, my boy whacked a cow and young bull that were together.
Single shot a piece. The cow was 210 yards out. Double lung, broadside shot. She went maybe 20 yards and dropped. Bullet exited.
Then the bull was about 60 yards and at a hard quartering away with his head down. Bullet hit just in front of his left ham, traveled through to the off shoulder and stopped at the start of his neck.
He may have gone 10 yards and dropped.
