The gun, with correct markings, issued to Custer's forces, even possessing the inspectors cartouche on the grips (not shown), and "US" engraved on the left side of the frame in the right spot (also not shown). Everything is correct, to include the "black powder frame" and bullseye style ejector.

I was shooting one handed, standing, offhand. Here's a 10 yard group. The load was my next door neighbor's (he handloads for me), and consisted of 255 grain LSWC (.452"), with 7.5 grains of Winchester 231 powder, COAL 1.6".

That's about a 2.5" group.

This model is a true Colt clone, even possessing the characteristic four clicks when cocked, so should be carried with only five loaded chambers, for safety.
