I used one for 4 or 5 years. It was much better than letting the rifle constantly slide off but I've since switched to a Boonie Packer Safari sling. I like that MUCH better.

I think I will make and experiment with the Safari sling before going the other route. I am getting out the leather straps and hardware this week.
They both look like good concepts. I just need to try to see what works for me. I'd like to see more videos other than Boonies. It's been around a couple decades so there should be some on YT.
