Let me emphasize again a good muzzle brake before considering a rifle scope on a specialty pistol.
The Encore platform is lighter than the 280AI XP above.
That is always a consideration as well.
What you said about low-light capability with pistols scopes is so true.
Add to that an extremely small field of view, not great reticle choices, limited turret options, and limited internal adjustments.
I can't recommend highly enough Holland's Radial Baffle brake with your 30-06.
I shoot much larger cartridges in XP-100's and other specialty pistols too using rifle scopes
