My Browning LW .260 has (as far as we can tell) a 9.5 twist. It handles the Hornady 140 sp just fine, but I’ve only run it to 100 yards to date. It really likes the Hornady 129 sp and for my use that’s probably going to be my go to load. I have a good supply of Sierra 85gr hp that it shoots like a laser - minimal recoil and just plain fun.

When I had the Talley base on it, I needed to use the low rings to get the scope down where I wanted it. I went back to the original Browning base recently to take advantage of the windage adjustments. Lee Shaver, did a trigger job on it and substantially lightened the pull weight.
